I was so pleased to discover recently, how easy it truly is to make your own dips and dressing from scratch.
It's so convenient! And it fits right in with our desire to eliminate as many preservatives as we can from our diet.
The only thing that seemed like it migh be difficult, was access to fresh herbs in the middle of winter! But then I remembered my Thrive LIfe Foods, and their amazing line of freeze dried herbs. It's so nice to know I have herbs that I can rehydrate and use in place of fresh. And they are already chopped for me! There is no way I would have had fresh Chives on hand this time of year.
Fresh Herbs in the winter--how cool is that?
I have uploaded my recipe to the Thrive Life Recipe site.
There are so many delicious recipes on our website--be sure to check them out!
But to make it simple, I'm going to post the recipe here as well. It's super simple. Enjoy!Ingredients: 4 tbsp. Mayonaise (I prefer Hellman's) 2 tbsp. Plain, Nonfat Greek Yogurt (You can substitute 2 T Thrive Sour Cream Powder, if necessary) 1 clv. Garlic, Raw, minced or pressed 1 tbsp. THRIVE Chives 1 tbsp. THRIVE Parsley 3/4 tsp. THRIVE Chef's Choice 1/8 tsp. THRIVE Peppercorn 1/2 tsp. Dried Dill Weed 1 pn. Cayenne 1 dash Sea Salt 1 1/2 tsp. THRIVE Instant Milk 1/2 tsp. Lime Juice 2 tbsp. Water
Mix all together in a medium size bowl and blend to desired consistency. Add more water for a thinner dressing.
It should stay fresh in the fridge for 3 or days. Then you can just mix up more.
I hope you enjoy the fresh taste of this dressing!
